Early Musical Beginnings

I have loved music from a very young age. I first taught myself guitar by jamming along to songs on the stereo, then broadened my musical experience at secondary school by playing violin, viola and bass guitar. Alongside music, I also sang and acted with local amateur dramatics societies.

Discovering the Drums

Through the theatre companies, I gained access to band equipment and immediately fell in love with the drums. I discovered that rhythm came naturally to me and that I could hold a steady beat.

Studying and Producing Music

After playing in several bands over the years, I decided—at the grand age of 41—to follow my heart and pursue a degree in my lifelong passion: music. In 2018, I began experimenting with home recording. I invested in Studio One—now Fender Studio Pro—along with a few essential pieces of equipment. Drawing on what I had learned at college, as well as the knowledge shared by the exceptionally talented friends I met there, I began producing my own music as a solo artist.

Collaboration and the Band

Since then, I have collaborated with friends locally and with new creative partners around the world through social media and online music platforms. More recently, I joined this hugely talented band. I feel fortunate to bring the percussion element to the majestic wall of sound these musicians create.
